With a tight budget and plenty of upcycling tricks, I worked as the designer alongside master carpenter Simon Parfitt and his team. Helping to transform this rusty van into a restful retreat as part of BBC2’s prime-time series “My Unique B&B”.

Discovery Education UK head office

The scheme echoed the strong branding already established by this global company. This 660 sqm. office space was designed to accommodate 80 employees. It was therefore crucial we incorporated good soundproofing, great lighting, a flexible seating plan and plenty of handy break-out spaces within the design.

Our focus was to create a practical and nurturing space to facilitate a wide range of support activities for the local community. The design was inspired by the kind donations made by many wonderful local organisations and individuals. We also wanted to clearly reference the Charity’s uplifting yellow logo.
